  1. SECU Crystal Coast Hospice House Annual Gingerbread Festival

    December 6, 2019 - December 8, 2019 @ Crystal Coast Civic Center

    The SECU Crystal Coast Hospice House Annual Gingerbread Festival returns for its 7th year to the Crystal Coast Civic Center on December 6-8, with a whimsical wonderland of confection and holiday crab pot trees created by the community. Being a part of the Gingerbread Festival is a great way to be involved in the community and support our Hospice House. It’s also an excellent way to promote your business and have a lot of fun at the same time. Don’t have time to decorate a tree? You can still be a sponsor and the “festival team” can decorate your tree.   2. Breakfast with Santa

    December 7, 2019, All Day

    Saturday morning, December 7th, children can enjoy sharing Breakfast with Santa catered by Floyd’s 1921 Restaurant,400 Bridges Street. There will be three seating times at 8:30am, 9:30am and 10:30am. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children, tax and tip not included in price. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 252-727-1921.

  3. 10th Annual Chowder and Cheer

    December 7, 2019, 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Downtown Morehead City

    Stroll downtown Morehead City & enjoy samples of Chowder or Cheer from more than 40 participating establishments. On Sat, Dec 7th, the 10th annual Chowder & Cheer Crawl is from 1pm until 5pm. Vote for your favorite chowder, soup, chili or gumbo. In addition to downtown eateries, restaurants that are not located right in the downtown district will be serving samples at downtown shops and art galleries. Various restaurants and businesses will also offer Cheer, which could be a sweet or beverage, that will be voted on as well. Winners of the 2019 Chowder & Cheer will be announced at the Morehead City Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 14th. Tickets are $30 per person and go on sale October 28th and 29th from 9am-2pm at the Morehead City Train Depot, 1001 Arendell Street. No pre-orders or phone orders taken, ticket sales are in person only. There are a limited number of tickets available and cash, check and credit card are accepted.

  4. Carolina East Singers Christmas Concert

    December 7, 2019, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ First Presbyterian Church

    The Carolina East Singers, under the choral direction of Susan Gillis Bailey, will perform their Christmas Concert on Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, December 8. The concert will begin at 4 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Morehead City. The 60+ voice choir will be performing Dan Forrest’s Lux: The Dawn from On High and many classic Christmas favorites such as The First Nowell, Silent Night and Sleigh Ride. The choir will be accompanied by an orchestra. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. They are available from any choir member or at these local organizations: In Morehead - First Presbyterian Church or Williams Hardware; In Atlantic Beach - The Pool & Patio Store, Atlantic Station Shopping Center; and in Beaufort at First Bank located at 1503 Live Oak Street.

    At 5pm on Saturday, December 7th, enjoy fun and Christmas in Downtown with carols and Santa and Mrs. Claus at Jaycee Park. Starting at 5:30 pm, the colorful Christmas Flotilla will cruise down the Morehead waterfront in a delightful holiday tradition. The flotilla begins at Jaycee Park and proceeds down the Morehead City waterfront, so bring the family and plan to enjoy the evening.

    After the flotilla, stay and watch the annual Morehead City Community Tree Lighting at 6pm in Jaycee Park. Join Mayor and Mrs. Jones in the annual lighting of the tree and have a chance to see Santa and Mrs. Claus.
