Where can I learn more about local governments?

North Carolina City and County Management Association (NCCCMA) and the University of North Carolina School of Government offer a new resource for helping the public appreciate and understand local government. Local Government in North Carolina is free and online. This fourth edition has been up-dated to reflect recent changes and revised for a general audience. It is now available in three formats:

  • Interactive, online access
  • iPad format
  • Downloadable PDF

This resource is sponsored by the North Carolina City and County Managers Association as a part of its Civic Education Committee's work. Your local government may also have helped sponsor it by participating in NCCCMA's "Nickel Offense."
