The Friends of the Morehead City Public Library is an association of persons interested in our library; to focus public attention on the library and its significance in service to the community; to focus public attention on the historic significance and unique character of the Morehead City Public Library building; to encourage the use of its resources and services as a gathering place for the community as well as a place of learning, peace, friendship; to seek, receive and encourage gifts, endowments, grants, and bequests to the library; to develop library services and facilities for the community; to support the freedom to read.
The Friends of the Morehead City Public Library group is designated as a nonprofit organization in a 501(c)(3) status.
