The state will begin accepting applications this Friday April 25th from workers for Federal Unemployment Insurance that are not normally eligible for State Unemployment Insurance, such as self-employed workers and independent contractors. The article below along with the state link explain pretty well how to navigate, apply for, and/or update your information in the system.
Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA): This program provides unemployment compensation for individuals not eligible for regular unemployment insurance or any extensions to unemployment insurance. This will provide benefits to eligible self-employed workers and independent contractors.
