Fire & EMS Stations

Fire Station 1Station 1

Station 1 replaced the former Fire Station 1 located at 801 Evans Street. This station sits about 1/2 mile from the intercoastal waterway. Hurricanes and flooding were major issues with the station design. The structure was designed to withstand winds of 125 miles per hour and special hurricane shutters were designed to protect windows and doors and a reinforced room was also added for extra emergency shelter.
