*Cancelled* Adult Indoor Volleyball League- March 2020:

Morehead City Parks and Recreation is excited to offer our very first adult volleyball league. Philosophy: This coed league will feature a fun experience with Volleyball for all with an emphasis on competition and tactics while promoting a healthy lifestyle.  Teams will be formed through group registration.  Individual registration is also available, and players will be placed on teams randomly.  Practices are not offered for teams, but time slots are available in the gym.  Teams must be 7-10 players. Age minimum is 18. Cost is $50 per individual or $320/team. League will run March 2nd- April 1st. Games will be held M/W/F beginning at 6PM. Registration ends February 24th. Click here to register. *Cancelled* 2020 Adult Pickleball Tournament:

When: April 18th, 9:00 AM

Where: Shevans Park Pickleball Courts

Format:  This inaugural doubles Pickleball Tournament will be a double elimination bracket.  All brackets will be finalized after the start of the first match.  Players will oversee tracking and reporting their scores until the semifinal rounds.  If a player is injured and unable to continue, they will forfeit their match.  Register Here or see flyer.

*Cancelled* Spring Break Tennis Camp 2020:

When: April 15th-17th, 9:00 AM-11:00 AM

Where: Shevans Park Tennis Courts

Ages: 9-14 years old

Philosophy: This beginner Tennis Camp will emphasize fundamentals in a fun and competitive environment.  Through the utilization of the USTA NetGeneration curriculum, players will learn the basics of athletic movement, striking the ball, and the importance of sportsmanship.  It is the goal of the camp to provide youth with an understanding of the sport and how it is played all the way through to the professional level.  Register Here or See Flyer

Pickleball Open Play

  • Mornings: Monday through Friday 9:00 to 11:00 am 
  • Monday/Wednesday/Friday 1:00-3:00 PM until June 12th

Pickleball, a combination of tennis, badminton, and ping pong, is one of the fastest growing sports in the country. Morehead City Parks and Recreation offers open play at the Morehead City Recreation Center gymnasium. All Pickleball players must have an annual usage pass or pay a $7 daily pass fee.
